Formulation Compatibility: Pigments, Solvents & Additives
Dispersed around wetting, water-bearing control, blistering and storage stability, combing high-strengthens with the most easily neglected compatibility problems of the winter resin formulation.

The oil absorption, particle size, surface treatment and moisture content of pigments and fillers affect viscosity, hiding power, settling and bubbles. Highly absorbent or porous powders may significantly shorten the application window; moisture introduced with them can also react with isocyanates to release carbon dioxide.
The raw materials should be stored in a dry seal, dry or, if necessary, low-water classification. The production environment, dust recovery and cleaning of residues also need to be controlled.
The sequence of wet and dispersed tests
Establish stable pigment plasma in resin and selected dispersants to observe fineness, viscosity, recalcitrance and storage changes before gradually incorporating other raw materials. It is difficult to identify the reasons for problems when all the aids are added directly once.
Dispersive strength and temperature rise should be controlled, and overcut may lead to air or accelerate certain reactions. Quantification of production is to be reconfirmed according to the speed and energy input of the equipment line.
Solvent & Dilution Policy
Priority is given to solvents that are compatible with the system, have low water content and meet regulatory requirements. Solvents affect construction viscosity, volatilisation gradients, leveling, flashpoints and VOCs, and inappropriately slow solvent ratios may result in needle holes, orange peels, bite bottoms or residues.
Any dilution must be specified in the technical information of the product.
Flowing, Lovening and Touching
The blowing agent needs to combine mixed bubbles, construction bubbles and microfoam releases; Overutilization or low compatibility may cause constrictions and inter-layer problems. The leveling agent affects surface tension and heavy coating, while the transmutant balances resistance to fluids with construction.
The helper screening should use target base material, target film thickness and target construction tools and observe initial and ageing performance. A simple glass-coated film cannot cover the risk on the ground.
Storage and packaging certification
When the formula is completed, the cold, high and low-temperature cycles are stored to check viscosity, deposition, cortex, colour differentials, detail and combination reactions. Packaging walls, sealed materials and drying agents may also affect stability.
Air and humidity are introduced at each opening of the packaging, and distribution and sampling should be completed quickly and sealed in a timely manner. Raw materials that have been contaminated or have exceeded their storage period should be verified for reuse.
