1. Is polyaspartic coating a type of polyurea?
In a typical system, the amine-functional polyaspartic ester reacts with isocyanate to form urea linkages, so it is commonly classified within polyurea-related technology. Commercial products may include other structures or blended components. Check the formulation category and technical description rather than rely only on an abbreviated name.
2. Is it always better than epoxy?
There is no universal answer independent of use. Polyaspartics may be worth assessing for certain exposed finishes and rapid cure. An epoxy system already meeting the task should not be replaced merely because another technology sounds newer. Compare complete systems or validate a compatible combination.
3. Can every polyaspartic coating be used outdoors?

9. Does an expensive material eliminate the need for primer?
